Throughout their tenure, Sherry and Barb have been instrumental in directing all aspects of the initial development process, from groundbreaking to achieving licensure, certification, and accreditation, while also ensuring ongoing operational efficiency. Their comprehensive services have encompassed various critical areas, including compliance with regulatory guidelines, education and training of staff in the ever-changing landscape of ambulatory surgery center rules and regulations, management oversight of electronic patient health information systems, credentialing, policy and procedure compliance, staff recruitment and training, survey compliance readiness for Licensing/Certification/Accreditation, budgeting and cost assessment, revenue cycle management, and payer contracting.

Six years ago, Sherry and Barb joined the esteemed team at Cardio Surgical Partners, where their primary focus has been on the development and oversight of programs tailored to ambulatory surgery centers specializing in cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures. They have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to keeping the staff well-versed in the dynamic regulations governing ambulatory surgery centers. Additionally, they have provided expert management oversight of electronic patient health information systems, facilitated credentialing processes, ensured policy and procedure compliance, conducted staff recruitment and training, maintained survey compliance readiness for Licensing/Certification/Accreditation, managed budgeting and cost assessment, optimized revenue cycle management, and facilitated payer contracting.

Barb, a graduate of Sisters of Charity School of Nursing, has dedicated her entire nursing career to the operating room environment. Her 17-year tenure at a prominent hospital in Kansas City, MO, involved diverse roles such as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and private scrub in multi-specialty cases. Later, as an administrator at a nationally ranked multispecialty ambulatory surgery center, Barb led the addition of three additional facilities to the organization during her 14-year tenure. She also served as part of the Leadership Team for Medical Care of America, where she visited multiple centers within their network, enhancing staff leadership abilities and driving improvements in fiscal performance for more efficient revenue cycle management and cost per case outcomes. Under her leadership, the committee won the prestigious Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award, marking the first time a healthcare organization had received such recognition. Barb's commitment to philanthropy is also notable, as she has been an active team member of Medical Aid to Children of Latin America, participating in surgical missions to the Dominican Republic and Bolivia for 17 years. In her personal life, Barb finds joy in spending time with her husband, three sons, their spouses, and seven grandchildren. Aside from spoiling her grandchildren, she indulges in reading, traveling, and entertaining friends.
