About Sherry

Throughout their tenure, Sherry and Barb have overseen all aspects of the initial development process, from groundbreaking to achieving licensure, certification, and accreditation, while also addressing ongoing operational challenges. Their exceptional contributions have been instrumental in navigating complex regulatory environments and ensuring compliance in accordance with evolving rules and regulations. Additionally, they have provided expert management oversight of ambulatory surgery centers' electronic patient health information systems, credentialing processes, policy and procedure compliance, staff recruitment and training, survey compliance readiness, budgeting and cost assessment, revenue cycle management, and payer contracting.

Prior to joining the esteemed team at Cardio Surgical Partners six years ago, Sherry and Barb have had notable experiences in the field. Sherry's career started as the administrator for the first Medicare ENT surgery center, where she honed her expertise in managing regulatory affairs and advocating for appropriate reimbursements. She later served as the administrator for a pain management ASC, further expanding her skill set. During this time, Sherry also acted as a regulatory liaison to HCFA (now CMS) for a national organization, addressing crucial issues related to reimbursement and the Medicare procedures list.

Her valuable insights and knowledge have led her to conduct workshops for various organizations on topics such as regulatory considerations in ASC development, maximizing reimbursement, managed care contracting, revenue cycle management programs for ambulatory surgery centers, and trends in ASC reimbursement. Sherry has been invited as a guest speaker at esteemed events hosted by the California Ambulatory Surgery Association, the Florida Ambulatory Surgery Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society.

When Sherry is not immersed in her professional pursuits, she finds solace in reading, engaging in stimulating political debates with her two sons, and cherishing the delightful moments shared with her three energetic grandchildren, who never fail to bring joy and laughter to her life.
